Feels Like Home

for the new house: the sofa

Alessia sectional sofa via Macys

If I could love a sofa, I think this would be it. It’s comfy and I can curl up into a ball without my knees hanging off the edge (because the seat is deep enough). Although the cream color would be ideal for aesthetic reasons, chocolate brown would be more practical (the more I say this to myself, the more I feel like my mom). The back part is kind of low though, but I can accept that if the BF thinks it’s OK. Throughout this whole furniture selection process, I’ve been cautious about whether a sofa will be comfortable for him too since he’s much taller than I am. Also, I want to make sure it’s not too feminine either so I’m looking at furniture that mixes the vintage modern that I’m going for with a masculine, industrial feel. Check plus for creating more work for myself.

  1. I’m just too clumsy for anything remotely light, but it sure is pretty! I think it would love perfect in any home and the chocolate brown is pretty nice too!

Oh yea I’m definitely too clumsy for a light colored couch too, that’s why I probably can’t handle anything but leather!

  2. We’ve had a creamy couch like this with a low back for more than a year now and while the hubby is very tall, he seems more than happy with it!
